ACT announces cast of

Archbold Community Theatre is thrilled to announce the cast for it’s Christmas show, “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play”. The show was adapted for the stage by Joe Landry, music by Kevin Conners, from “The Novella” by Charles Dickens.

Most people have never had the pleasure of attending the recording of a live radio show. They have never seen how the sound effects (SFX) were made live on stage. The actors not only host the show, but perform several different characters all live on stage as the radio show was broadcast. ACT welcomes you to the Golden Age of Radio! The show takes place in the studio of radio station WBFR in New York City.

Randy Stuckey (West Unity), will play Freddie Filmore. Mark Nightingale (Stryker) will play Jake Laurents. The role of Harry “Jazzbo” Haywood will be played by Mason Stickley (Pettisville). Pearl Borton (Napoleon) will play Lana Sherwood. Teresa Van Sickle (Archbold) will play Sally Applewhite. Elsie Mello, also of Archbold, will be making her radio show debut as herself. As previously stated, all of these thespians will be performing multiple characters and bringing live music to the stage as well in the form of jingles and Christmas Carols. The cast is rounded out by Stage Manager and SFX specialist, Jeff Patterson (Archbold) and sound man Edward Bialorucki (Ridgeville Corners). The show is directed by Steve Van Sickle (Archbold) and assisted by Jeff Patterson.

Show dates for the production are December 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 7:30 PM and a matinee on December 15 at 2:30 PM. The show will be held at Giffey Hall in Ridgeville Corners, OH.
