Event Description:
2 day class will help you learn about the three kinds of honey bees that you will find living inside a beehive - the Drone, the Worker and the Queen. Honey bees are highly specialized and a functioning hive needs each of the hive members to perform their job well, or the hive will not survive and prosper. They must work as a team and be willing to sacrifice themselves if need be to keep the hive alive and thriving. This class will teach you the fundamentals of beekeeping and help you understand what you need to get started with your own beehives including where to obtain bees and supplies as well as positioning of your hives and where to find a network of help in beekeeping. $50 includes both days, beekeepers book, membership to beekeepers club and $10 coupon off your first $100 order of beekeeping supplies at Honey Blossom Orchard
