Collection for Coats for Kids
25th Annual Coats for Kids (and Adults) Campaign
This year marks the 25th Annual Coats for Kids Campaign by Christ United Methodist Church in Napoleon. The church has collected and given away an average of 700 coats per year since it began in 1994.
This year, the collection of coats will be over two days: Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th, at Christ United Methodist Church, Glenwood Avenue in Napoleon. Trailers clearly marked with a ?Coats for Kids? banner will be placed at the church location for the collection. Coats will be distributed to those in need on one day, Saturday, November 10th, from 8am ? 3pm at the Christ United Methodist Church on Glenwood Avenue, Napoleon.
Those with coats to donate do not have to worry about washing them first. Our church members will be washing the coats. While it is called ?Coats for Kids?, the church collects and distributes coats of all sizes, from infant to adult. The biggest need is for children?s coats, especially boys. Plus-size coats are also in high demand, as well.
Coats will be distributed on a first come/ first serve basis on November 10th at Christ United Methodist Church. There is no paperwork to fill out and no questions asked. The only request is that people take only one coat per person.
